The Library constitutes an essential resource for UNESCO-CEPES that has been mandated to serve as a provider of information. During its 30 years of existence, UNESCO-CEPES has been offering library and documentation services to internal and external users. It offers reading room services, general and specialized bibliographies and provides other regular information services.

The UNESCO-CEPES Library holds over 6,000 books, 143 serial titles, and 2112 documents that, in particular, cover the major questions of higher education and related domains. Being a specialized library, it does not collect all UNESCO materials, but it does obtain the major documents.

The UNESCO-CEPES Library and Documentation Unit are open to the public every Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m, and Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., except during public holidays.
